At our first professional meeting we heard from McKenna Pryor owner and founder of Dolled Up Studios. She taught us ten keys to success that she used on her journey. In our first developmental meeting, we were inspired by McKenna to try an entrepreneurship activity and create vision boards.
McKenna's 10 Keys to Success: 1. Find your passion 6. Enjoy EVERY step of the journey 2. Do not settle 7. Manifest the life you want 3. What you put in is what you get out 8. You can be a hustler and rest 4. Comparison is the thief of joy 9. You can't do it all, that is okay 5. Growth comes from failure 10. When you get knocked down 7 times, get back up 8 |
We were very lucky to have Amanda Goodman come speak to us about being a confident woman in the workplace. She talked to us about being unapologetically ourselves and knowing who we are and what we stand for. She also taught us about standing up for each other and allowing yourself to evolve. Big thanks to Amanda for taking the time to come share her story with us!

This November we had the opportunity to travel to Minneapolis for our professional trip. We were first welcomed by Rocket 55 where we learned so much about the company and was given great advice. Next, we were able to have a mixer with U of MN WIB and various companies. Then we traveled downtown to Ernst and Young where we were given an office tour and some more career advice. Of course, we also found some time to get some bonding in over dinner and shopping!

This month we were very fortunate to be able to host the Accel Group. They provided us with knowledge about how to build a strong financial foundation, how to accept and understand our first job offer, as well as an introduction to insurance. These ladies were so much fun to host and look forward to seeing some of them again on our spring pro-trip! We also were able to put some of these skills into practice during our developmental meeting where we looked into budgeting and learned what benefits are important to us.
