Ellen Valde
Ellen Valde grew up in a small town in South Dakota where she developed her love for accounting. After graduating high school, Ellen decided to come to UNI. While majoring in accounting, she was also involved in the accounting club where some of her favorite memories were made. After UNI, Ellen found herself at the firm now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Currently, she is the managing partner of PwC in the Denver office. Ellen has had a successful career and is looking forward to the next chapter in her life. |
Linda Corbin
Linda graduated UNI in 1969 with her Bachelor of Education degree and went on to teach in Waterloo, Prairie City, Virginia, then back to Iowa to have her first son, Daniel. After a few years off, she got a job at UNI to work part time in the central advising office then eventually started the business advising office in a full time position. She retired after 35 years at UNI and enjoys spending time with her sons and their families, going to coffee with friends, baking pies, hosting dinners, attending UNI football and basketball games, and cheering on the Waterloo Bucks baseball team. |
Michelle Clark
Michelle graduated from UNI with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management Information Systems with a minor in Dance and earned a certificate in Training and Development. Her first job was in high school where she worked with an insurance agent and had the opportunity to work on the first IBM Personal Computer. With this experience, she decided to do business and after she graduated from UNI her first job was as a microcomputer analyst at a healthcare organization. She has received her master's degree in Computer Systems Management from Creighton University. Michelle has spent the last 27 years at Union Pacific Railroad where she has held many positions across infrastructure, technology services, and application development. After all her experience she has achieved her goal of becoming an executive in November 2021. Congratulations on achieving your goal! |
Tatum Buse
Tatum Buse graduated from UNI with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and also went on to pursue a Masters of Business Administration, also from UNI. After graduation, she accepted a position at Rockwell Collins (now Collins Aerospace) in the Accounting Leadership Program. Since then, she has held various roles in the finance and accounting departments. In 2020 she became the first woman Chief Financial Officer of Collins Aerospace. Tatum now resides in Marion, Iowa, and enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. |
