April 2025 We were honored to welcome Kathleen Dockter and Kristi Hemmer for their MoxieOn presentation, where they shared powerful insights on the importance of maintaining confidence and overcoming barriers faced by women in the workplace.

Professional & Developmental Meeting
March 2025 During this meeting, we explored the inspiring work of Try Pie with Sarah Helleso. This shop provides teens with a unique opportunity to engage in after-school activities, earn a paycheck, and build essential life skills along the way. The focus is on creating a supportive environment where young people can learn financial literacy, gain job readiness experience, and develop leadership qualities through hands-on work.

NEIA Food Bank Volunteer Event
February 2025 We had the rewarding opportunity to volunteer at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank. WiB members love being able to give back to our community for such a great cause!

February 2025 Debbie Tyler, a mother of one of our members and the Director of Human Resources at Professional Office Services, Inc., delivered an insightful presentation on the pivotal moments in her life. Painting Social
January 2025 WiB hosted a painting social for our members to reconnect following the Winter Break. The event provided a relaxed and enjoyable environment where members tapped into their creative side, shared laughter, and showcased their artistic talents. It was a wonderful opportunity for bonding and collaboration between our members.

Pro Trip!
November 2024 Women in Business members recently had the opportunity to visit Omaha, where we toured a variety of businesses and gained valuable insights into their operations and strategies. This experience was both educational and inspiring, as we had the chance to learn from industry leaders and explore best practices across different sectors. In addition to expanding our knowledge, we also built lasting relationships with business owners and professionals, fostering meaningful connections that will contribute to our continued growth and success.

October 2024 Members of WiB went to Palmer's Family Fun for our Fall Retreat. This retreat was a wonderful opportunity for our members to connect deeper with each other and build stronger relationships while having fun playing mini golf and other fun activities!

October 2024 GreatAmerica recently joined us to discuss the role of a credit analyst, providing valuable insights into the field. Participants had the opportunity to engage in a collaborative activity in small groups, exploring real-world credit decision-making scenarios. This session proved to be an enriching experience for all attendees, regardless of their major, demonstrating the relevance of credit analysis across various disciplines. September 2024 To kick off our semester, we hosted an exciting Meet the Members Social featuring a fun-filled sand volleyball game! This event provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to connect with peers who share an interest in WiB while addressing any questions they may have. Homecoming Parade

Our club participated in the parade taking a golf cart float in the Homecoming parade. Members got to help decorate the float as well as walk in the parade as a club!

For this year's pro-trip members travelled to Madison, WI. Members visited DSG Outerwear, Trustage, and The Creative Company gaining insight into women's outerwear, insurance products, and public relations/marketing.

This year we had the opportunity to volunteer with House of Hope by decorating and making trick or treat bags for the kids and donation baskets for the mothers. Some of the members also got to get a tour of House of Hope also!

learned about negotiation and professionalism. We also did a negotiation activity to help better understand the proper way to negotiate in a professional manner.
We went over these tips for negotiation:
1. Identify all parties interests
2. Use "we" language and find spaces where all benefit
3. Practice genuine empathy and active listening
4. Be firm but fair
5. Be ethical, your reputation and credibility will follow you!
