Kathleen Dockter
Kathleen graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, earning prestigious honors such as the State Farm Fellowship Scholarship, the Elijah Watts Sells Award, and a Honeywell Financial Management Internship. She later obtained an MBA in Finance from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in 1997, launching a diverse career spanning public accounting, corporate finance, research administration, and healthcare leadership. Currently, she serves as Vice Chair of Administration in the Department of Medicine at the University of Minnesota, overseeing finance, human resources, strategic planning, faculty development, and more. Throughout her career, Kathleen has embraced leadership opportunities, navigated complex challenges, and remained committed to mentorship, particularly for women in business and education. In 2023, she established the John F. Dockter Special Education Scholarship at UNI. Looking ahead, she continues to drive meaningful change in academic medicine while mentoring future leaders. |
Teri Ross
Teri is a retired executive with a distinguished career in financial services, culminating in her role as President of Shared Services at Sammons Financial Group. She began her journey at the University of Northern Iowa, where she graduated with a Management degree and Human Resources focus in 1987. Teri was actively involved on campus, working in various roles, including with the Residence Hall Association and the American Society for Personnel Administration. After graduating, Teri built a successful career in Des Moines, Iowa. Teri is known for her leadership, adaptability, and problem solving abilities. She values mentoring and has advocated for work-life balance all throughout her career. In 2024, Teri retired and now enjoys cooking, golfing, cycling, gardening, and traveling with her husband, Todd. She remains passionate about empowering the next generation of leaders, especially women, encouraging them to find mentors, take risks, and keep learning. |
Lisa Dreyer
Lisa Dreyer is a managing director and private wealth banking manager at Wells Fargo Bank in Roseville, California, with over 30 years of experience in financial services. She earned a BA in Economics from the University of Northern Iowa in 1987, and later obtained an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from Iowa State University. Lisa’s career in banking began with an internship at a Cedar Falls bank and progressed to roles at Wells Fargo, where she specializes in tailored lending and financial solutions for high-net-worth clients across multiple states. A former president and board member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Lisa is passionate about giving back and mentoring others. She emphasizes the value of continuous learning, adaptability, and being involved in one's community as keys to both personal and professional success. |
